At Simsbury Chiropractic & Wellness Center, we offer a wide range of chiropractic techniques and therapies for your pain relief and overall wellness. We’ll work together to determine which will be best for you. Some of our techniques include:

Chiropractic Manipulation

You can undergo a range of techniques to increase your range of motion, lower the muscle spasm, and release the pressure that could be present on spinal nerves and intervertebral discs. This encourages better joint mechanics and also promotes quick healing. You are likely to hear some “clicking” and “popping” sounds as your joints are placed in motion. Read more»

Flexion Distraction Technique

This kind of chiropractic manipulation is done utilizing a range of motion on a particular table to traction and gap specific spinal areas. It is frequently used while treating lumbar disc injuries, stenosis, and lower back pain. This method can also be used on the cervical spine or neck.

Soft Tissue Therapy

A number of soft tissue techniques can be used to ease muscle pressure and _the connective tissues of your body. The chiropractor will apply pressure to a hypersensitive area or “trigger point” to re-align fiber orientation and to release tension or spasm. The muscles may be pushed through ranges of motion to create a lengthening and shortening effect.

Physical Therapies

At Simsbury Chiropractic & Wellness Center, we also conduct a number of physical therapies. Here are a few:

Ultrasound

This technique utilizes sound waves to penetrate muscle tissue. It helps in healing and decreasing inflammation and pain. The sound waves give a warm sensation to the tissues of the area where the ultrasound is being conducted. The frequency levels can be varied by the chiropractor to determine the penetration depth and rate. Read more»

Electrical Stimulation

This technique is utilized for swelling, pain, and strengthening injured or weak tissue. The process involves electrodes that are attached to the patient to target specific joints or muscle groups. The pads are carefully placed to isolate a muscle group or a single muscle.  Read more»
