“Owning our story and loving ourselves through the process is the bravest thing that we will ever do.” Brene Brown, “The Gifts of Imperfection
Susan has had a varied and interesting career as vocalist, music teacher, clergy person and counselor. Her transition and growth through all of these life experiences inspired her to open her counseling practice, Women Reshaping Lives, LLC in 2012. It is a practice dedicated to supporting women through major life transitions related to career, retirement, aging, bereavement, separation, divorce, caregiving and recovery issues.
In addition to individual counseling sessions, Susan offers a monthly group experience through her Empowered Women’s Circle. Each monthly mini-retreat provides an opportunity to explore issues that are meaningful to women in an interactive, experiential hands-on format that is engaging, insightful and fun.
Susan is a Connecticut Licensed Professional Counselor. She began her counseling career at Bethany Pastoral Counseling Services upon graduating from the University of Saint Joseph. Susan was a counselor at Bethany Pastoral Counseling Services for 15 years. In her role as Cantor of the Farmington Valley Jewish Congregation - Emek Shalom, Susan engaged in pastoral care and counseling within the congregation. Susan has also been a facilitator of emotional support groups at Jewish Family Services of Greater Hartford.
All of these experiences are the roots upon which Women Reshaping Lives was created. Susan believes that all of our life stories provide a foundation for us to heal, learn and grow. She believes wholeheartedly in the value of support for transformative change. This is what Susan endeavors to bring to each and every woman she counsels.
